Just get a fucking prius van, fold the seats flat and call it a day.

Love the ratchet straps - you can just picture that thing lifting off at speed and shattering on the front of whatever unlucky car is behind him.
I know the Prius is one of the rare cars that doesn't have any official towing capacity, even in Britain, but it would seem that towing a small, ultralight trailer would still be much less dangerous to himself and others that building a shack on top of the car.
